THEMES – CONNECTIONS
Parkway Montessori 6th graders are studying physical science and exploring the natural world. This course is an introductory physical sciences course that introduces matter and energy concepts through inquiry labs, models, and hand on activities. The topics covered are: forces and motion, engineering, introduction to chemistry, and sound and light, along with the history and nature of science. Students will develop skills of scientific inquiry and laboratory investigations. Physical Science meets the earth and space science requirements for middle school and prepares students for 9th grade high school science courses.
